Interested in supporting the Girlie Farmers 4H projects?

Here is everything you could ever need to know.

It’s Medina County Fair time!

We are Corinne and Ellen Henslee, both members of the Sharon Livewires 4-H club. We attend Norwayne Middle School, play soccer & help on our family farm. Corinne is in eighth grade and Ellen is in seventh grade.

We are writing to tell you about our 4-H projects and to let you know how you can support us and other 4H’ers at the junior fair livestock sale at the Medina County Fair. The Medina County Fair runs July 31-August 6 this year.We both take market hogs, chickens, turkeys, market goats, market and carcass lambs. Ellen will be taking beef breeding heifers and ducks. Corinne will also be taking breeding goats.

We are responsible for feeding and watering our animals. The lambs, goats and heifers were born on our farm. Our pigs came from a family friend and were also born in the county. We work together raising our animals and are proud of what we do.

Each of our projects will sell at the livestock sale. We hope that you would purchase one of our animals to enjoy on your dinner table. If you buy our animals at the fair they will be processed at a state inspected facility and will come back to you ready to eat-- lamb, goat, pork, and all poultry projects will come back packaged and frozen. Animals can also be donated to the county home, Feeding Medina County or other organizations if you don’t want the meat for your freezer. Purchases may be tax deductible.

The duck, turkey, and chicken projects sell on Friday night, August 4th at 6:00 pm and the pigs, goat and lamb sell on Saturday, August 5th starting at 9:00 am.

If you have any questions about being a buyer you can call the 4-H extension office at 330.725.4911 or our dad at 330.990.7821.

We hope to see you at the 4-H Sale,

Corinne & Ellen
